How do you cope with a breakup when your friends are too busy to be a support system?

I have friends who are married or are just too busy in general to take the time to talk to me. Or if they've talked to me, they aren't checking in to see how I'm doing. Are these friends just acquaintances? People can only get through so much on their own....and aren't they supposed to be getting me out of the house, be social, to get over my ex??

Well if they are busy they are busy, sorry. Most people cant put their life on hold for a friend. I say take responsiblity for your own happiness. Everything will be fine. Take up a hobby, read a good book. Make new friends.How do you cope with a breakup when your friends are too busy to be a support system?
Breakups are like death. They make people realize their own mortality or the cracks in their own relationships. Were your friends there for you at first and could they be tired of hearing your tale of woe? If this is the case, its time to find some new interests and activities, not necessarily new friends. However, if your friends weren't there for you in the beginning, maybe they aren't as close as you thought. Its still time to dust yourself off and find some new things to do and possible some new friends to do it with.
Your happiness is your own to keep, maybe your friends are thinking you need some time alone...I would say if you want to go out and do stuff to take ownership of that. Organize a girls night out, or take a dance class, join a volleyball league or something along those lines, or go on an all inclusive with a stranger from yahoo answers LOL....its your life mes amies ;)
no just be with them as they are... and to come out of the pain you are in start making new friends.... go to few blog and chatting and gaming website's like www.orkut.com and www.facebook.com and make friends in them... i am sure if you add your picture many might come adding you.... and to start with this you can add me at babbs145@yahoo.co.in :) ... i might be too young ffor you... but can be a good friend.. haha
